About the Editor/Publisher of the WhiteDove Chronicle

Virginia (Ginny) Sand-WhiteDove is both Native American and Franco American. Her ancestors came from the Mi'kmaq (Micmac) Nation, a part of the Wabanaki Confederation, inhabiting Québec and Northeast North America for at least 12,000 years. WhiteDove lives in Bangor, Maine where she is again attending the University of Maine in Orono. She holds a State of Maine Teaching Certificate, a Masters Degree in Education, a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Science, and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Native American Studies. WhiteDove is now pursuing a PhD where she can weave together all the disciplines she has been studying up to now: Education, French Language and Franco American culture, and Native American culture, traditions, rituals, and wisdom. This also encompasses the environment, bio-diversity, and the place where human beings share ecosystems and habitats with other species.
